AFC Urgent Care Memphis

I made an appointment online for 5:00 pm and arrived on time. All paperwork was done online so I checked in on my phone and just made my payment when called to the desk. There was a little wait due to the walk ins, but I was informed there would be. I also appreciated they stopped taking more walk ins that could have held people back longer who did have appointments considering it was 5:30 pm and they closed at 8:00 pm. I waited about an hour from when I arrived before being pulled back. Triage was nice and the doctor was super sweet. The rooms were clean and roomy. I believe my concerns were heard and the appropriate tests completed. I appreciate their hours and availability. Overall it was a great experience!

Very pleasant check-in, great Triage service and Dr. Soo Lee was so wonderful! Quick service, pleasant staff, very clean and Dr. Lee was very knowledgeable. If I need an Urgent Care again I will definitely use AFC Urgent Care! Great job yall! 💯Thank you! Sheila & Mark Ross

Great care very impressed with everyone. I was sick 4wk ago w flu, came back for a check up for my asthma. Everyone was thorough and awesome, feeling much better. Very professional and nice. Great teamwork.

All of the staff was so kind and helpful during my visit. The antibiotics prescribed cleared up my strep throat very quickly and the numbing rinse was helpful in the meantime. Im so grateful and very likely to return with any future illnesses! Highly recommend this urgent care.

Arrived as a walk-in. Had a wait time of about 35 minutes. Front desk clerks informed of the wait time due to scheduled appointments and other walk-in. Once called the staff assisted and the doctor came in made orders for treatment my condition. The doctor and his staff proved EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE. I would recommend others.

My experience was exceptional. I had a TB test performed & it was painless & efficient. The receptionist was amazing as well. Kind & professional. She put me at ease immediately upon arrival with her friendly face (even behind the mask her kindness & smile were both reflected in her eyes.

Arrived at 8:30 without an appointment, and I was seen within an hour! Due to cold/flu season, I was impressed with the wait time and the politeness of the staff. Im happy with the care I received.

Tracy the front desk representative was so inviting, she greeted me with a smile and provided excellent customer service.Ms. Susan was absolutely amazing as well. If you are afraid of needles no need to be if she’s providing your service. The nurse and the doctor I also saw were very polite as well. Overall this facility 10/10

We are visiting from Florida and I felt pretty terrible. This team is amazing! They were so kind and helpful. I wish there was a place like this where we live. Thank you for taking such good care of me.

From the receptionist, to the nurse and the doctor, everyone that worked there were very nice and extremely helpful and informative. I felt that they truly wanted to help me throughout the entire process. For my first time visiting this was a great experience and service and I 10/10 recommend going here for your urgent care needs. Wish they could be my PCP haha :)

I had a wonderful experience at AFC both times I’ve been there. I had issues with insurance and the receptionist was so kind and patient with me and assisted me in ensuring my visit was covered. The nurses and doctors there are very efficient and get you in and out in no time. Definitely will use them again!

This facility was par excellent. from the front desks to the triage to the examining room.Every person was very professional compassionate, caring and concern. They gave me top-notch service. It made me feel happy even though I was sick. I would recommend this location to anybod

They are awesome and welcoming people! It felt like walking into a families house it was amazing and the blood shot was very quick and un painful! Went here as I was out of town and sprained my ankle. Front desk staff was amazing, but be warned they do not take care credit. As I was walking up they were telling someone that and she said she only came because it said they do on the website.I left because I have an electronic insurance card and management won’t allow them to accept that, and I couldn’t use my husbands although he is under my insurance. So be sure to have the actual insurance card. Which is crazy to me when you make people check in via QR code. You want to be tech savvy but don’t? My advice try elsewhere first. Too many issues and I had to wait to get to this point

Dr Melissa Brietling and her entire staff were exceptional. I dont even get that kind of treatment at my own PCP! Hands down the best Urgent Care experience ever!!! Thank you!!

I scheduled my sons visit the night before on the website; The staff are familiar with my sons diagnosis of autism/MR and are always considerate and they allow us to wait in the car, call us when it is our turn, and escort us straight back. they are always professional and show caring and warm personalities.I bring my son for urgent care needs when his doctors office is closed. They have never disappointed. I highly recommend AFC

This visit was good, the nurse who gave me a steroid shot was extremely good at her job. I literally didn’t feel a thing. My prescription was called in late, but the office and The Doctor that was on site was rapid about correcting the issue.

My husband and child were both sick, so I made appointments for them in the middle of the night for the next morning. Very easy to navigate the appointments and paperwork ahead of time online. My husband and child got there at the appointment time and were seen immediately by very friendly, thorough, attentive staff and doctors. They were out within an hour with their diagnosis and medications. We very much will use this urgent care facility again if needed.

The receptionist provided exceptional customer service. My intake nurse, doctor, and shot nurse provided exceptional care. I cannot thank them enough for their service and sincere attention to my needs in time of illness. Phenomenal job to the team at AFC Urgent Care!

I scheduled online with ease. Very minimal wait time. Friendly staff. Assessed my issues & began treatments. I felt that I was heard & my concerns addressed.

Secretary at the front desk was gracious in accommodating me as a walk in. She called me when my turn was up, which allowed to wait in the comfort of my home. Nurses were great. Very personable. Dr/NP was very good. Even double checked on my BP when he thought it was low. Received meds I needed and phoned in a script to my local pharmacy.

Dr Breitling and her nurses actually seemed to have a genuine interest in my health. I was there a solid hour getting treatment and figuring out the best course of action for treatment. I felt like I was listened to and they truly wanted to treat my illness as if they were in my shoes. Can’t thank them enough.

I had a great experience starting with the easy online appointment process, greeting by front desk team member, excellent triage nurse, doctor, and radiology techs. It was my first time. I hope I don’t have to go back soon, but if I do, I’ll go here.

Overall, it was very good. However, I was the only one in the waiting room for close to 20 min, and it seemed like the visit could have been handled a little faster. I filled out the registration and indicated why I was there (UTI), and the staff could have gotten the urinalysis in motion while I was waiting and had the results in hand when I saw the doctor.

Came in after experiencing 24 hours of excruciating back pain that came out of nowhere the day before Thanksgiving while traveling. After a brief wait I was able to see the doctor who decided I needed two shots in my back. One shot was a steroid shot and the other was for pain. Shortly after leaving ALL of my pain was gone! It’s now been 24hrs and it’s Thanksgiving day and I still don’t have any pain. I haven’t even taken the muscle relaxer that I was prescribed. I highly recommend.

The staff were thorough, efficient & kind. Make an appointment to avoid a long wait. This a great community asset to be utilized to avoid Urgent or Emergency care, which are difficult to access these days. Highly recommend!

This was by far the best walk in clinic experience I have ever has and Ive been to many in several cities in my lifetime. Tracy was excellent! Clear, friendly, professional, very communicative- and I can say the same for every person who worked with me. I was in and out very quickly with everything I needed. I was also grateful you were open 7 days. I will happily drive across town to this location for all my future needs. And Ill tell everyone I know!

I did not like the $75 CO-PAY! The receptionist were friendly & kind but I wasnt use to paying that type of copay. Went to another Urgent Care, no copay, got my sinus COCKTAIL SHOT, & Im 90% better! Also, FNP couldnt guarantee me a SINUS COCKTAIL. She told me how she was going to treat me... I didnt like that.... No autonomy!

Literally the worst experience Ive ever had at a medical facility. 2+ hour wait time in a noisy, overstimulating waiting room only to be met with a VERY rude NP who belittled me and talked down to me the entire visit. Went in with flu symptoms, came out with a negative flu test and anger issues.

The women at the desk are unprofessional, liars, and not good at their job! They did not check our insurance properly, told us we had to pay out of pocket and insurance would reimburse us(which was false) resulting in a $400+ bill we had to foot! Completely unprofessional and lazy! Fire these women!!

The workers and doctors were amazing! I had my 86 year old mother, who is in a wheelchair, and before I could get her in, they saw me struggling and came to the car to help. That was how our visit started and from that moment on it was truly a kind and helpful environment. Everyone appeared to be happy working and caring for us. Not at all what you find most places these days. Sherita Rina was especially attentive to my mom as well as everyone else. All of my family will continue using AFC Urgent Care. AFC is fantastic! The minute I walked in the door the staff greated me. Loved the triage nurse, the Dr. Bernhard was awesome as was her assistant Susan. Everyone there made me feel comfortable. Would absolutely go back if there was a need.

Front desk staff and triage medical assistants all extremely friendly! I would give them more than 5 stars if I could. I was a little disappointed no labs were drawn to make sure I didn’t have an infection instead of just viral, as miserable as I was. My ears weren’t even looked at. I am a nurse and just expected more from either the Dr or NP, not sure….no introductions were made. . So that gets 3 stars.

I have been to AFC clinics in several different cities across TN and GA, and Ive been very pleased every time. Today I visited the clinic in Memphis, TN and had a very positive experience. You can make an appointment online, complete your pre-visit paperwork online, and you never have to wait long after arrival. Everyone in the Memphis clinic was so kind and helpful. I highly recommend them if you ever have the need for urgent care. Thanks AFC!

Receptionist named Tracy was very welcoming. She had me fill out my paper work in a small amount of time and mentioned how my debit card could be saved for future visits which is great for somebody who forgets their wallet at home a lot like me. The wait time wasn’t as long as I thought it was going to be despite the many people. Service was fast and efficient.

Scanned the QR code called “The wait is over” The “O” being the QR Code. Checked in. 3rd person in line. Took 1 hour and 50 minutes to be called back. After vitals, I was asked to wait again for another X minutes (I wasn’t sure, fell asleep due to Flu). Admin could not run my insurance. Ended up paying full price for visit (bill hasn’t come in yet, but I was warned) as well as full price for meds $126 and change.The sign should read “Let the abysmal waiting begin”.The Admin lady said she would call my insurance but I know she didn’t. I was seen the week prior at another urgent care when this malady began. No issues with insurance.I offered to go “down the road” to another UC but she insisted that she’d get it “right”.

Ive been sick since Christmas with some congestion and cough and decided to try this place instead of my normal. Im glad I did because they were much friendlier and efficient than where I normally go. Definitely recommend.

Everyone from the front desk to the intake nurse to the doctor were incredible kind, timely, efficient, compassionate, knowledgeable and caring! It was a wonderful experience for someone who wasnt feeling good at all and got a positive COVID result. The entire staff was truly amazing!

Dr. Rogers was so kind to fit me in at the end of the day. He did a great job taking care of my toe and ankle. The staff could not have been nicer. I don’t hope to get injured again anytime soon but if I do I certainly know where I will go.

Receptionist and Nurse super friendly, knowledgeable & efficient. I brought my elderly mom for care. We did have to wait 45 min as a walk-in, not bad. Dr Roger is super smart, with wonderful bedside manner, listened carefully, especially to my requests for meds, gave us precise instructions on how to recover from Flu B. Got a steroid injection. He prescribed steroid pack to start in 2 days & nebulizer albuterol for wheezes and cough, and prescribed a anti-viral. Note: we did receve the FluVac in Sept this year, but evidently doesnt cover this strain B per Dr Rogers. As a retired RN, I would not hesitate to refer my family and friends here.

Tracy was very friendly and courteous. I called in the morning to get information on appts and price, I left a message and she promptly called me back and got me a same day appt. When I arrived she was very friendly despite there being a full waiting room. Sometimes going to an urgent care can be stressful but she was great at her job and very efficient! We would come back for sure

Visiting Memphis from out of town - the last thing was expecting to need medical care. Calling my health insurance made the process so smooth. They referred me to AFC Urgent Care Memphis-who were pleasant, professional, and masked-up. The facility was in close proximity of my hotel. The new (for me) sign-in process went smoothly. As well getting the needed prescription from nearby Walgreens. End result - I feel much better and can continue my trip. Thank you!

My mother is 82 they were so busy they were going to send us somewhere else but because of her symptoms they told me they would see her she ended up having the flu. Very compassionate and caring thank you.

This is normally our go to minor medical center when our doctor’s office is closed. The location is convenient and you are able to book an appointment online. My 8 year old son was the patient, we were there to get strep, covid, and flu tests due to a lingering cough that became worse.The PA or nurse was extremely rude to my son and wasn’t being unclear with her instructions. She had to do two nasal swabs and gave him a tissue in between the swabs but didn’t tell him to wipe not blow. Of course he proceeded to blow and she started yelling at him and became frustrated with him. At this point my son and I were very uncomfortable. When she did his throat swab he was afraid to hold his head back. When she swabbed she yelled at him to close this mouth if he needed to cough. Of course he is going to need to cough after a throat swab, it is a natural reflex. The nurse/PA also made me feel as if my list of concerns were not valid reasons for my visit. She kept asking, “is there anything else wrong with him?” Needless to say I was very disappointed in our visit.

Doctor didn’t really listen to me or consider all my symptoms. Heard only 3 symptoms out of several and didn’t listen to what I felt was wrong. Just prescribed various medications and didn’t listen to my story fully before walking out the room. Definitely not returning.

The staff is fast and friendly Im not talking about pretend friendly but it’s your job but honestly friendly individuals and the young lady name Sherita didn’t hurt me at all I was surprised that she gave me the injection but I didn’t know that she did it until I started walking 😂 the lady knows what she’s doing!!! I came here for a laceration on my pinky!! i accidenlty stabbed myself ahaha, but i made an appointment and came in and everyone was so sweet!!! the were so nice and honestly it didn’t take very long either! the doctor was very nice and very knowledgeable he stitched me up and did a great job!!! the nurses were so sweet and very nice!

Wouldn’t recommend to any one. The receptionist was kind with good customer service but all they did was give me a Covid-test then they lied to my insurance like it was a medical procedure. Never using them again and filing a federal complaint.

Made an appointment and filled out paperwork online which was great. But the wait! Even with an appointment and only one other patient here, I waited for an hour! What’s the use of appointments if they’re going to run this far behind in the first hour they’re open?!

They were fast and efficient, and a much better front desk experience than the last time I was there. They were friendly and seemed happy to be working there, last visit, not so much.

The physician, Dr Breitling was like no other! She was determined to find out what was going on with me and my illness. She went over and beyond. I now have a new place to come to.

Always a great place to visit when anything urgent or illness comes up. Staff is friendly and courteous. Nurses are highly skilled, professional, and actually show interest in your case/problem. The doctor(s) are quick but straight to the point and so easy to relate with. They will work to get your issues fixed asap. Small wait times are required if they’re busy (even if you made an appointment) but its understandable and is generally less than 30-45 mins tops. I fear this may be just one of a few others left in Memphis that don’t rush you and want to fix your problem but instead just want cash it out like so many others. 👍🙏

Tracy, Beca and Dr. Rogers we’re all professional and did a great job. Check-in with Tracy was quick and orderly. Triage with Beca was friendly and detailed. I was immediately put in a room and saw Dr. Rogers within minutes we’re he quickly assessed my condition, made recommendations, and called in a prescription.

Walked In After Having A Massive Asthma / Bronchitis Attack...Due To Bathroom Cleaning Products...The Front Desk Receptionist Were Overly Friendly & Accommodating...I Was In & Out With Prescription Having Been Called In To My Pharmacy In About 1 Hour... So Glad I Found This Minor Emergency Clinic...I Highly Recommend It..Not To Mention The Sweet Young Nurse Who Took My Vitals & The Cute (Very Professional) Young Doctor! I AM All Fixed Up 24 Hrs Later ❤️‍🩹

This woman blatantly violated my an Hippaa rights In front of a room full of strangers, she then threatened to call the police and said that her brother was a police officer do not go here. They don’t care about peoples health had an extreme migraine. I think I was close to death. I drove myself here waited four hours for an appointment that they did not honor would not allow me to self-pay. This is why we need healthcare for all because people like this should not be in the healthcare business. Everybody should have the right to receive medical treatment. she denied me medical treatment and then laughed in my face while Iin front of a room full of strangers, she then threatened to call the police and said that her brother was a police officer do not go here. I sliced my thumb on a potato peeler. I was a complete pansy. They let me and took their time. Ms Joann and Ms. Sherita came in to especially check on me. They were wonderful. Highly recommend

Excellent as always! My husband and I have visited the clinic a few times. Every single stay member we encountered from the front door to the back exemplified genuine compassion, loving kindness, professionalism, warmth, and empathy for EVERYONE who came through the door. A woman was ready to pass out - weak and could neatly stand. The receptionists quickly received her, even got her a chair at the registration desk when she stated she needed to sit. They quickly evaluated her and contacted emergency services to assist. It was worth the wait because it felt good to know I would be in caring and able hands should I ever have an incident in their office. Thank you for your hard work and dedication to excellence!

Pretty quick and concise. The waiting time wasn’t terrible it was pretty good compared to going to an ER with something minor like cough and cold.

We didn’t have to wait long and they treated my mom with so much kindness! Hopefully we won’t have to come back anytime soon, but if we do then we will be loyal to this location/group of people!

When someone tells you their insurance website is not allowing them to access it but they it in their digital wallet and other forms of ID maybe see them instead of turn them away. People over profit for once in yalls lives Jesus were suffering out here

We were in and out in about 1.5 hours. The staff was friendly and professional. I walked in with my two children to be tested for Covid. They tested all three of us and were great with my children.

False advertising! Website says they do DOT physicals. The site lets you make an appointment specifying it is for a DOT physical, then lets you check in online. Got to the location, checked in at the front desk, then 10 minutes later the receptionist tells me they don’t do DOT physicals! Total waste of my time. Will never go back here for any reason

Kids don’t choose a time to get sick, so we have been there several time over the past years. Everyone in the facility showed professionalism and kindness. They are trying all they can to make sure we can get treated on time. The experience yesterday was with Dr Melissa, JoAn and Susan. All offered superior care to my kid. And the front desk was skilled at multitasking. Thank you!

Went for one thing and they treated me for another. When I complained they told me to pay another co-pay even though they messed up. That’s absolutely ridiculous. I’m calling my insurance company to dispute all charges and my bank to dispute the co-pay. What a waste of time.

I came in for an illness that I had been trying to treat at home, unsuccessfully, for almost 4 weeks! I tried to get an appointment with my gastroenterologist, but the soonest I could get an appointment with the PA was May 1st.Everyone at AFC was very professional and attentive. They were very empathetic. The front desk got me registered quickly, the triage nurse was very thorough taking my medical information and taking my vitals. She really made me feel comfortable!Dr. Breitling was outstanding. I’ve been to other walk in Clinics and the physicians are not knowledgeable about the symptoms or how to treat the illness! She was very thorough and explained the antibiotic she was prescribing and why and medications to avoid. Nurse Susan was extremely friendly and very thorough explaining the “kit” she was sending home with me, to be returned to the office.I would definitely recommend coming here.And I would definitely return.

Everything was great except the sign in on phone of sick it’s a pain to go thru all that . They also have a person on my phone number that isn’t me . Scary

There’s no point in making an appointment as you’ll have to wait 2 hours regardless.There was a needle with the thing they use to withdraw blood in the sink in my room.Literally 0/10 this place is trash.*Update*: they never sent in prescriptions. I had to call them to see where they were and was told it will take up to another hour before the person working today call send them in.

The staff was very attentive from assisting us getting our dad/husband out of the car into the wheelchair. They were compassionate regarding his dementia, and very gentle with him.We definitely recommend AFC to anyone asking.

I was sent here for a workmans comp claim. I immediately knew the doctor wasnt there for me but the company that was paying him. Ive spoken to another doctor and nurse since I left and gave them my diagnosis and course of actions. They both thought this was ridiculous. I wouldnt recommend you take your pet here!

Tracy and the entire staff from the front office to the Nurses and Doctors were efficient and had a very quick turn around time. Was not waiting long at all.

I’ve been here before but when I came in to do a “work” physical and was turned away immediately without typing my information in (after having an appointment) because they “don’t know anything about me.” So just be warned, they don’t do physicals for the Department of Human Services.

Tracy is amazing… it’s hard to find receptionist that actually care about their job, however, she’s patient, kind, and respectable!

I have never had a painless booty (hip) shot before, but the magical Susan in injections made it possible. Also, another clinic technically on my insurance coverage list didn’t take my insurance (UnitedHealthcare Choice), but this clinic did.I was seen very quickly and everyone who works here, from the receptionist to nurses, are so sweet!!!

Everyone was so nice. It was non stressful. Very clean. The fact that you can make an appointment and not have to wait as long is the best. Dr B is amazing, very personable and caring. Best urgent care experience weve ever had. I highly recommend them!

Staff was nice, but...Went in and was given a sinus cocktail shot. Before insurance plan deductions, the charge was $595, so if you dont have insurance, youd be wise to avoid going here if possible. Thankfully only paying $130 out of pocket which is still in my primary physicians words ludicrous.

SCAM FRAUD ALERT!I denied service, and was billed for it anyway.For 3 years now I have had the most aggressive debt collection I have ever seen hounding me about a bill for service that was refused.THEY WILL FRAUD YOU! STAY AWAY AT ANY COST

I had a situation with a new job where I had to get tested for Covid asap and it was past closing for my usual minor med I go to. So I called here and gave my insurance info to make sure I wouldn’t be paying/ paying anything crazy and they said yes and I won’t have to worry about anything. Then I get here and the door says if you have Covid symptoms to wait in ur car, so I’m waiting in my car because I definitely do and I called the phone like 30 times and I’m just sitting and looking at the receptionist not answer it so eventually I walk in anyways. I get signed in and set up with insurance and everything and then I have to wait about thirty minutes in the lobby and then wait another thirty in the exam room for the doctor. She was nice but we didn’t even get a diagnosis she just prescribed me like 5 medications and sent me on my way. Well I get back up to the front assuming I need to pay a copay and they said oh don’t worry about it you don’t have to pay anything. Of course I’m thrilled so I leave only to be billed $229 months later while I’m young and moving across the country and buying a car all in the same week. I am thoroughly disappointed after being told I wasn’t going to have to worry about paying because if I originally knew it would be this much I wouldn’t have visited. Also it said $650 before insurance which is absolutely absurd. I could’ve just gotten an at home test for $30. I feel like these medical offices take advantage of normal people. Will not be returning again. (Sorry for the long run on sentences)

The experience I had today on 6/8/24 was very poor and unprofessional by staff. For one the front desk receptionist ask me out loud why was I here and the entire waiting room could hear. The waiting room smell like marijuana and there should have be a sign in sheet to write down my medical compliant. Totally HIPPA violation.

Wonderful staff and Dr. Breuing is wonderful. Shes thoroughl with me and listens to your concerns. And acts in solving the solutions.

Easy same day appt, digital pre-paperwork was simple and did not need to be redone upon arrival. Arrived 10 mins early, called back 20 mins later. The staff was very nice and professional, Dr Rogers listened and addressed everything. I felt very well cared for and was relieved after my visit.

Even though I had an appointment, I had to wait about 45min. Understandable under the flu and cold season.

I dont see anything urgent when you wait for 30 minutes in lobby.. they have taken my 50 dollar payment and I hope I dont wait 30 minutes in back... I should have checked in online first but when you see urgent care and Walk in accepted you would think they have enough doctors to accommodate the patients... Its a long wait and I am not sure how much longer until they call me back.Part 2 of my experience so I got called to back 1:30 which is 45 minute from check in. Now Im in a holding room until I go to another room... Pray for me because Im getting agitated for the wait time..I should have went to fast pace urgent care they are super quick25 minutes later I get up to see if the doctor has forgotten me in the holding room and I asked how much longer and one of the nurses stated I had three other in front of me.. I said I thought this was a urgent Carr and five minutes later I was called to another room... I will never come back and I dont recommend. Still no doctor has seen me.

I had a horrible experience. My doctor was Dr. Breitling. I came into the urgent care with a fractured foot. She never fully even came into the room to speak with me and examine my foot. She left me with an ankle brace and my own slides that I came in when I should’ve been put in a boot and crutches. I felt like she couldn’t give me a straightforward answer for any of my questions. A total waste of $300.

No wait. No line. Signing in with my phone was quick and simple. Receptionist was friendly and approachable. The triage nurse, I think her name was Suzy, she was the best, honestly I have never had anyone more professional and as knowledgeable as her, caring, competent and efficient. The doctor had great bedside manner; he explained everything and gave excellent advice for any foreseeable issues and gave me time to talk. I would give him a 10 out of 10. I didn’t even feel the needle when I received the shot. This urgent care is top notch, I highly recommend this location.

Not only were they quick and efficient, also exceptionally kind and personable.

I came in with an ear infection with a 10 on the pain scale and they took absolute care of me! They are great, timely and pay attention to the needs of their patients even if it goes unsaid. I am so thankful for them!

Front desk and initial consultation was fine. BUT the doctor(Breitling) who cared for my wife was horrible. Communication was very bad. Was asking others for their opinion on what should be done with her foot. She didnt speak much to my wife on what was thenproblem. Very bad doctor. Could have Google and got more information from that than what we got from her. Never will be back to this place.

Excellent help from staff!I could not talk (strep throat).Each staff member was patient and kind.We worked together to quickly figure out an easy means of communication!

I made an appointment and completed paperwork online beforehand, expecting a somewhat expedited experience. When I arrive, a front desk girl claims Im checked in, but after an hour of wait time and somebody whod arrived after me getting called, I finally go up to ask the other front desk girl if Im actually checked in. She brushes me off without even asking my name. After ten minutes or so goes by, she calls me back up and confirms that I was never checked in. Without any apology or explanation, she sends me back to wait now that Im finally checked in.When I eventually see the doctor, she informs me that she can no longer perform the procedure that I need due to the clinics concern about, get this: wait times for patients. To be fair, the doctor herself did what she could, but the irony of the whole thing was incredible.Overall, 2 hours of my life that Ill never get back for less than 5 minutes with a doctor. Worst clinic experience Ive ever had.

Unfortunately,I wasn’t able to recieve care today. When asked about insurance, they couldn’t take my insurance. After not being able to take my insurance, they said I couldn’t pay out of pocket due to the law. I feel like if they have clients who are in pain, they should have other alternatives for the patients. There wasn’t any other options for help. Not recommendations or trying to help. Just turned away.I hope they fix the problem for those patients whom are being turned away due to insurance and are willing to pay. It’s unfair to the those patients who are in pain. If you have any insurance, call first because you wouldn’t want to waste your time on driving in pain and being turned away.

I was asked to write down my symptoms. I was honest about coming off anxiety medication and having a fast heart rate and bad anxiety as a result. I just wanted relief for the fast heart rate, like beta blockers or something (which simultaneously help anxiety...). I literally wrote Looking for non-narcotic relief and the lady at the desk says, very loudly in front of the whole waiting room, we cant help you because we dont prescribe narcotics. I guess she cant read or doesnt know that non-narcotic meds can help anxiety. I told her Im not looking for narcotics. She said they cant help with a fast heart rate and I need to go to the ER. They treated me like a junkie. Never coming back. Also, I called another urgent care place and spoke to a much nicer lady who said girl, no when I told her I went here. That says a lot. I hope the front desk lady sleeps well tonight while Im up all night with my heart racing.

This was my 2nd visit to American Family Care, and it was just as great as the 1st. Great staff, great nurses, and the doctor was really great as well. Nurse Desirae, is awesome! She was wonderful! Dr. Melissa was great! She took care of me, and was very patient when I asked questions. Wait time was great, even though they were busy. I was not there maybe an hour. If I need to visit them again, I will definitely go! Great people, great office.

I went in thinking I just had a cold and wanted a cocktail shot to help with it. They ran four tests (mono, strep, covid, and flu) they all came back negative but I still had fluid in my ears and a 101 fever which meant I had a sinus infection and they sent off an antibiotic for me. 10 out of 10 would recommend.

From Tracey on the phone before I arrived and at the desk once I got there to Jomara at triage and Sherita and Dr. Rogers in the exam room and xray, my experience was phenomenal! I live downtown but I would drive all the way to AFC and bypass other urgent care facilities if I ever need urgent care again!
