I recently visited the Quest Diagnostics location in Plantation and had a challenging time finding the entrance. It took me about 10 minutes to locate it because there is no visible sign for the lab. This seems to be a newer branch, so I understand there might be some adjustments still being made, but the lack of signage is frustrating. All the other businesses in the plaza have clear signs, but for Quest, there’s nothing to indicate its location until you’re standing right in front of it. The only way to spot it is by looking for the small name under the glass near the door in the corner of the plaza. If you plan to visit, keep in mind that it’s tucked away in the corner, and you’ll need to look closely to find it. I hope they address this soon to make it easier for first-time visitors.
**Review of Lab Corp Experience: Insensitive Staff and Mismanagement of Time-Sensitive Collection**I recently had a frustrating experience at Lab Corp that I feel compelled to share. My visit revolved around the drop-off of a vital, time-sensitive lab sample, but I left feeling disheartened by the insensitivity and lack of professionalism demonstrated by the staff.Upon my arrival, I made sure to follow protocol and arrived well ahead of my scheduled time. However, despite my efforts, I encountered significant delays. After waiting for an extended period, I spoke with a representative who was unhelpful and dismissive. They informed me that the lab does not prioritize cases based on urgency; instead, they strictly adhere to a computer-generated queue. This policy, while perhaps systematic, failed to consider the critical nature of my sample.I sought clarification from other employees, expecting better assistance, but unfortunately received the same cold response. There was a noticeable lack of empathy for the circumstances surrounding my situation. The staff did not seem to grasp the implications of their rigid policies on patient care.As a result of the mismanagement in handling my time-sensitive collection, the accuracy and reliability of my test results were compromised. This is not just an inconvenience; it has potential consequences for my health and well-being. The insensitivity displayed towards patients during such crucial moments is unacceptable.I would strongly encourage Lab Corp to provide better training for their staff on handling time-sensitive cases with the urgency and care they deserve. Patients should never feel like they are merely a number in a queue, especially when their health is on the line. I hope my experience serves as a wake-up call for the management to make necessary changes to ensure better service and support for their patients in the future.
This Quest staff at this location are well organized and very professional. The waiting area is roomy and comfortable. The check in is quick and easy. My appointment was right on time as scheduled and the staff member who took my blood did it painlessly. Highly recommend!
This was my first time at this location and the bad reviews concerned me. However, when I got to the location, I was pleasantly surprised. I had an appointment on a Saturday morning and waited no more than 5 minutes. Checking in was easy and all I had to do was scan my license and insurance card. The lady who took my blood was very nice and did a great job, didnt feel a thing.
My appointment was at 0840. I was seen at 0930. System is down is the excuse yet Noone could tell the poor souls waiting in the lobby and then they could decide whether to wait, reschedule or cancel. Staff doesnt care if you complain. Apparently, its the norm here. I recommend trying a different location.
I have been here twice and both times my experience has been great. Check in as smooth, super easy and quick and wait time was not long at all (I go for the early morning appointments). By the next morning I see my bloodwork results on my Quest portal and my doctor is also sent the results right away.
I would give zero stars if I could. The staff is very rude and unprofessional. They will get upset if you ask a question. The young Haitian lady I had was very rude and even complained while doing my urine test. If you’re that miserable at a job go back to school or find a job that you enjoy doing because it clearly shows that you don’t want to be there. I will never go back here again. Very long wait time and no customer service. You have been warned.
I was at this location earlier today and notice a few things that upset me.First was no FD or representative to assist people with checking in or to answer questions. At one point an old man could not check in so a sweet patient went over and assisted the man with checking in. Shortly after a few other elderly people came over and asked if rule who had been sitting there for 20mins not checked in because they didn’t know what to do.Second was that when people had questions your representatives were rude and unhelpful and made comments regarding having to assist people and repeatedly stated they had patients but yet you have nobody else there to assist people with questions.
GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! This is probably the worst Quest in the area, and you will find the most unprofessional and poorly trained staff. They are the best AT NOT DOING their job properly. The callousness and lack of professionalism shown by the staff especially KRISTOPHER STAFFORD (“Kris”), apparently the one in charge of this place is unacceptable. I needed my labs done on an urgent matter and that is why I made an appointment, KRISTOPHER STAFFORD could not find my vein and looked for another phlebotomist who I asked to use my hand instead and another type of needle, and without consulting she proceeds to prick me without my consent telling me that they do not use other types of needles or in the hand, when I replied that they always do it this way in my case and it wasn’t the first visiting this location, this woman retracted and changed her story saying that she did not have the proper equipment. She also failed in her job and did not find the vein. Apparently after two attempts the Quest policy is that you have to reschedule the visit. This staff is very incompetent in their work, with a notable lack of empathy, professionalism and respect for the health and care of the patient. They hurt my arms and I did not have the labs which delayed my visit to the doctor and my health process while waiting for a transplant. KRISTOPHER STAFFORD who you probably find shewing gum with his mouth open while taking care of your labs is RUDE , UNKIND, UNPROFESSIONAL, INCOMPETENT, UNTRAINED. I will not trust him or any of the phlebotomists of this place to be in care of my health labs. If you look around you’ll see this place is not very hygienic and so their work staff. They don’t change their gloves so you will have to ask to do so and they will give you attitude. I kept going here because it was t a convenient location, but after so many negative visits this was my last , I reported the incident to quest and the department of labor.
Normally I am a very patient and lenient person, and I understand this may not be the fault of the representative I spoke with, but some of these quest diagnostics, including this location, have gone so downhill. I double booked myself for my appointment, made it there on time, only for them to turn me away because they said their system is down again (every time Ive been to this location they say their system is down or another excuse to say appointment only). I also made sure to bring my paper order after arriving on time. They also said because it was a few minutes after 9 (when they spoke to me) that I had to reschedule. This makes zero sense. People have lives and some dont have a car to drive there, and have to miss out on work. The exam I scheduled was supposed to take three hours, so I took off work and prepared and fasted also for that reason. This is absolutely unacceptable and their headquarters or whomever handles matters for all quest locations needs to do something about this. I also saw other people be turned away for strange reasons while in the waiting room even though they had an appointment. Hopefully I can find a better location for this specific exam.
Yesterday was my first time going to this location, and it was a great experience. Chris was great, especially since Im a hard stick & he didnt want to bruise me. Professionalism, customer service received, and cleanliness were all great.
This place is TERRIBLE!!! iPads to check in do not work. All patients were struggling to check- in because none of the iPads work. There was a nurse with short hair like a bob (hair went to her chin)She was working from 8am-9:30 am today wearing like burgundy scrubs and white coat on top. She was the absolute worst! Rude, aggressive and unhelpful. I was at the kiosk iPad about to book a 10:10 appt when she called my name and attacked me yelling and went to another iPad to put me as a standby. But I had an appt at 8:10 am, was given the old address so I was late 15 mins which I explained multiple times but she just kept yelling YOURE LATE & not listening to me. There is no front desk btw so no one to talk to besides the nurses calling in patients. She stopped me from rebooking to a 10:10 appt to putting me as a walk-in. I told her, I could have just completed my 10:10 appt and return at that time. She yelled and said YOUR LATE YOU ARE A WALK-IN. I asked but what time can I return since I do not want to be sitting here all day. she just yelled back YOUR STAND BY and left. She does not know how to communicate. I was doing fine without her and could of kept my 10:10 rescheduled appt had she not aggressively attacked me and rudely stopped me from making the appt. I found out through another nurse that stand-by doesn’t mean anything I could be sitting there all day and never be called. So that means that the nurse that put me on standby intentionally knew I wouldn’t be called and just have me waiting there all day. When I could of just kept my 10:10 appt she intentionally wanted me not to be seen.Multiple people were having issues with kiosk iPads because they do not work. Especially the elderly and they were sitting there for hours because they were not on the list because the iPad wouldn’t check them in and no one was there to help. Please go to another quest location & save yourself the headache this place is a nightmare! I didn’t get the name of the woman that was awful but I hope no patient has to deal with her.The old location was much more organized and had a better staff. I never had an issue at the previous plantation quest location.
I accompanied my eighty-seven year old husband, for his appointment at the Plantation Florida, Quest Diagnostics location. We arrived half an hour early and checked in remotely. One hour later his name was removed from the appointment list with no explanation. The staff needs to be properly trained in communication skills. I will NEVER go there again. Extremely poor service.
The woman who drew my blood belittled me for having a fear of needles. I was supposed to have an appointment Friday, which they canceled due to the system shutdown, which I understand. I was told to come in as a walk in the next day and did, then was told to leave because there would be no walk in appointments. I managed to snag one appointment at an inconvenient time on Monday, and came in earlier in the morning to try and do a walk in. The woman I spoke to told me to get an appointment but did manage to get me in earlier, which I appreciate. Theres no way to get the results in time like I would have on Friday or Saturday, so Ill have to reschedule with my specialist but whatever I guess. She did however act like the whole thing was a massive inconvenience to her and then proceeded to belittle me for having a fear of needles going in my veins because I have a tattoo. Its not the same, its a psychological thing about needles going in deep, and maybe just dont insult your patients when theyre feeling vulnerable because youre poking holes in them? Just a thought. On the bright side, she didnt miss the vein and it didnt hurt a lot. So sure, go here for decent blood draw work if you want to put up with someone who likely resents you being there and insults you.
No complaints. Had an issue checking in and getting there on time, they solved it without hassle. Staff were nice and friendly, not sure what the low reviews are about. Cheers.
Ive been to this Quest location previously and was treated professionally and courteously. On 7/16/24 that was not the case. The woman that would take my blood in room #6 was not professional or courteous! Upon walking in the door, I was greeted with a lecture and scolded to be inside the lobby before using the app to say Ive arrived. I tried to explain that the app just advised me to come inside. She was dismissive and preferred to argue. Her departing words to me while facing the wall were youre finished. Hoping Quest will address this...
My doctor gave an order for bloodwork on a Friday afternoon and told me to get it done immediately as I have a severe complicated case of lupus and have had trouble eating for 3 weeks and lost 20 lbs. I showed up at quest plantation the next morning and was turned away because I didnt have appointment. They told me to make an appointment for Monday morning and my doctor would have the results by the next Friday. When I tried to make appointment they have none unavailable on Monday, and none at any of the ones near by the closet one with an appointment for mid after was an hour away. When I showed her she simply said no more walk ins mama when I asked what i was supposed to do because it was an emergency as I havent eaten and was getting very sick she wipes her hand like it wasnt her problem. DISGUSTING HUMAN BEING. These people are heartless and dont prioritize paitents. I will never return to this quest.
Patrick Edwards is the guy ! Came in and it was futuristic, new place, clean. Patrick let me and my wife come in together which they usually dont, so we could be together. He had a great way with patients, talking to us about food places, even gave us the address for one he loves ! Great humor. Im hard with needles so when my veins didnt cooperate, he brought in another girl so not to poke me too many times. Left with a rare smile on my face after a blood test. Thanks Patrick for the great bedside manner !!!
I have been here on separate ocasionas and have had separate experiences. The site is very clean and the staff is very courteous and professional. My first lab draw went super smooth no issues. The second time left me with acute pain at the puncture site. I felt some pain at the time the needle was removed, felt like it was pulled in the wrong direction, I didn’t make much of it. As I got to my car I had a massive golf sized ball on my arm and then later internal bruising. It’s obvious there was damage left. It’s been 4 days and it still hurts to bend my arm.
I had an appointment for blood work, there were a lot of walk ins, at one point a tech came out and said they wouldn’t get to the walk-ins, the tech stayed calm and professional (as the patients got nasty), Waited less than 5 minutes, nice job Quest. My tech, Patrick Edwards👍👍👍👍👍, i’ve done blood work twice a year for 20yrs now, Patrick is by far the best ever, very professional, calming voice, and barely felt the needle. This man knows how to do it.Quest, hang on to Patrick Edwards.
Only come here if you have the whole day to sit in the waiting room! I was at my appointment 20 minutes before my scheduled time and an hour after my scheduled time I was still waiting, Go to Quest in North Park. Don’t waste your day here!
Patrick was excellent ans extremely friendly. Didnt feel anything while doing ny blood work. Great customer service, Patrick is the guy
Registration and check in were excellent. The site was clean. The phlebotomist was however very rough with me and kept pushing the needle around and deeper even though blood was coming out fine. It caused me a huge hematoma and bruise that really hurts. It felt unnecessarily rough and I left feeling stressed. I have blood draws frequently so I can tell you that this was more rough than necessary.
My experience for the first time at that Quest Center was very good, I will make that Center from now on, the place to do blood test. I appreciate all of you workers.
Its like a circus expect they only pay a single clown to run the entire show, so you have 30 patients checked in and the monitor says they are planning to serve them all in the next 60 minutes, except 1 person gets served every 10. Do not go to this location unless you have a book to read or something
Clean waiting room, courteous & knowledgeable phlebotomist, called inside at time of my appointment, and easy check in. Been to many in Plantation and Sunrise, but this one is the best.
Was there for a quick blood draw - location is clean, quick (with an appointment), efficient, lots of parking and big well-maintained waiting area and facilities.
Delphine is amazing - kind, gentle and caring. My daughter was very nervous but Delphine made the whole process so easy.
Redicules wait, then they skipped my name even though was in waiting area with an appointment, did not hear my name called and asked for a manager 3 times but in an hour no one came out to talk to me is now over an hour since my appointment and still not been called
Very kind staff. I had Kim to take my blood and she was the greatest and the kindest. Thank you.
5 stars to Patrick Edwards. He was #1 - painless, great personality, friendly, caring
The best one I ever went to. Staff was friendly and love how patient and kind Mouise was with me she was very nice.
Very bad experience. The site where the lady drew my blood turned into a lump. Picture says it all. This is a new location but I will not go there again
Why would you bother to make an appointment at this POS. Because you want to wait 1hour and half...sad for a place that just draws blood.
Arrived 15 minutes late due to late start but was still taken after check in great experience.
Finally shows as open again. Great.
Nice upgrade from the old location. Big wating room easy check in and fast friendly staff
The worst place the workers have no manners they need more training to be more respectful ..
Delphine is amazing!!! Made the experience so painless and quick.
Fix your Google business profile so the rest of us don’t have to waste our day.
The worst service you can imagine.
Rude people at this location. Never again
I went on October 23, 2024 to perform around 12 laboratory tests, including 4 stool tests, which I had to bring as soon as I had them ready. The next day, October 24, I prepared to take them, complying with all the requirements that the laboratory asks for:Request an appointment online. When you arrive at the office there are computers to check that you are already there.Sit and wait for them to call you.On the 23rd everything went very well because they attended to me as soon as I arrived, the time of my appointment was advanced, which made me think that it was on a first-come, first-served basis, they were only attending to people with an appointment. So on the 24th with the stool samples, we did everything the same as on the 23rd, including transportation, which we used Tops, we requested the return for an hour after our arrival, thinking that just delivering the samples would not take us more time, with the assurance that we had met all the requirements; Not to mention (bureaucracy), an hour passed and they had not called me just to deliver, I began to worry that the transportation would soon notify me that it was about to arrive as usual; I got up from behind where I was sitting and went forward, waiting for one of the phlevotomists to come out who was going out to call those whoThey would call to answer.I had already spoken to at least two of them to ask them to receive the samples since the transport would come at any time. WILL CONTINUE.
The employees are super hateful. They dont even have the minimum service to answer a question. They send you to take a sample and tell you to bring it whenever you want and when you return they tell you that you have to have an appointment to deliver it but the sample has to be delivered quickly because otherwise it will be damaged. They dont even have sanity in what they say
I have read many negative reviews, however today I went to this place for the first time, by appointment and everything went very well for me. Congratulations to Alexis!
